Wednesday, June 27

I am back in Paris.

I played in Chartres last Sunday. The Korean ambassador, Monsieur le Prefet du departement du Centre, the bishop of Arichdiocese, and Monsieur Gilles Cantagrel, president of the association of the Grandes Orgues de Chartres kindly came to my recital.

I put a link below that will show some pics that were taken during the reception:http://lngory.free.fr/festival2007.htm I was quite happy about my playing and was so glad to see again people that I met last summer.

Since there were a lot of things going on in the cathedral, I had to practice at night (10pm to midnight) and early in the morning (7 to 9 am). That is the life of organists!

I just walked around and read books at a outdoor cafe during the day...

I met a group of American Organists who attended my concert and talked with them during the reception. Actually one of them was a graduate from TCU and a former student of Emmet Smith.

It is very cool and almost feels like fall. I mostly brought short clothes and bought a sweater and a jacket. I tore my jacket in Chartres. It was hooked on a rail in the staires to the organ loft but I was not aware and kept moving ... I am doing fine and gettting adjusted to the jet lag.

Happy to be back to one of my home towns.

I am flying to Monaco this Friday.

I hope things are well for FUMCHurst.

I will keep in touch with you next week. Sincerely, DIS
